Whether you are a family member, doctor, social worker, school principal, or any other professional, we are here FOR YOU, providing Public Information and fostering Cooperation within the Professional Community.

PI/CPC stands for Public Information/Cooperation with the Professional Community, a joint committee in Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) that educates the public and professionals about the program. It aims to bridge the gap between A.A. and those who encounter alcoholics, such as doctors, clergy, and counselors.

Key details about PI/CPC committees:

  • Purpose: To inform the public and professionals about what A.A. is and is not, providing resources to help suffering alcoholics find the program.
  • Target Audience: Professionals (doctors, nurses, lawyers, social workers, clergy) and the general public (media, schools, community groups).
  • Activities: Placing literature in public places, giving presentations to professional groups, and using media to share information about A.A..
  • Goal: To reach alcoholics who might not otherwise find help, without affiliating with outside organizations.
